What is VORTEX?

1.Vortex is a way to increase your child's softball knowledge and build on specific training areas to create a better player. 

2.Through Vortex's special techniques, the student will be able to grow at a faster rate, producing a more prepared and confident player on the field.

3.Vortex implements one on one training and gives the student specific interaction and feedback that a group setting does not allow.
My name is Randy Howard, softball coach and owner of Vortex Fastpitch Academy. 

I have been working with young people for approximately 20 years now. Most recently, I have coached two division title winners and have been selected by my peers to manage CRLL All Star teams. Most recently, the Girls District 7 Champions for 2009. I have also served on the local league's Board of Directors.   

I continue to educate myself on the sport of softball through technical reading as well as participating in clinics, mentoring programs, and through coaching positions.

The most satisfying accomplishment, however, is hearing the comments made from parents. Positive statements on how their daughters dramatically improved in fundamental skill and confidence.

Most of all, that their daughters “Had more fun playing softball!”
